“Empowering Women in Cambridge since 1945!”

BPW Structure

Clubs meet regularly throughout the year, offering a stimulating program of dynamic speakers on current topics related to women's issues. Dinner meetings are the most common meeting format, with special events sponsored throughout the year across the province.

The Province of Ontario is divided into six districts with a District Director providing each club in their district with a mechanism for mentoring and support. District meetings are conducted on an annual basis.

Each year a Provincial Conference is hosted by one of the many clubs across the province. Resolutions that shape policy and provincial legislation, affecting a range of women's issues, are submitted by local clubs for discussion and debate. Resolutions passed at conference are compiled into a Brief and presented to the Provincial Government.

BPW Canada holds a biennial Convention where women's issues at the National level are discussed and debated. Resolutions approved at the National Convention are compiled into a Brief and are presented to the appropriate Ministries of the Federal Government.

BPW International holds an International Congress every three years where BPW members from around the world debate women's issues of a global nature.
